 Model of the car:Land Rover Discovery Series 1
 General comments:While the Discovery model allegedly has improved over the years, it's still not the SUV you'd expect for 40k plus. Many minor problems add up to major headaches and all-too-frequent visits to the repair shop. Sure, it's a Rover. It's a powerful and agile machine off-road, but for any other uses (and that includes most of us)it's an expensive and not very practical proposition. Sure, you'll look cool driving to the market and to work, but unless you shop in the Sahara and work
in Amazonia, it's all just a mirage.
 What things have gone wrong with the car:Thirsty, sluggish, leaky engine.
