| | Model of the car: | Discovery SE7 | | | General comments: | It's amazing what this thing can do. You'll never be mistaken for anything else on the road. It's a great uniquely capable vehicle that has both on and off road manners, and with the other vehicles like freelander, Range Rover and Defender, it owns a unique place in the so called SUV market. These are civil in manners, have models that allow an owner to choose for whatever foray they desire and are built really well. Be prepared to maintain them and drop a substantial amount of money to keep up the maintenance. There's no such thing as a maintenance free vehicle, And oh yes that applies to Lexus and toyota of the like as well. | | | What things have gone wrong with the car: | Fuel economy, but worth it considering what you get. The other SUV's are all the same, and also get the same if not worse gas consumptions. In having not so good gas consumption, Why not own something that has a great reputation and then some. | | | Previous car: | Everything else out there, other than for maybe Humvee and Land Rover itself, is the same, rebadged, covered truck marketing scheme out there. Buy the original, not something with maybe a few more options with a different name and they call it "all new". |
